Man in his 20s Arrested for Threatening to Kill Elementary Students and Distributing Child Pornography
A man in his 20s has been transferred to prosecution while in custody on charges of posting threats to kill elementary students and distributing child pornography on an online community.
On the 23rd, the Jungnang Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent A (28, male) to prosecution under charges including violation of the Child Welfare Act, obstruction of official duties by fraud, and violation of the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth from Sexual Abuse.

At around 8 a.m. on the 23rd, A exited the Jungnang Police Station wearing a black hooded jacket and mask, tied with handcuffs.
When reporters asked, "Did you actually plan to kill or set off explosives?" he responded briefly, “No.” However, he remained silent, bowing his head while getting into the police transport vehicle after other questions.
Online Threats and Circumstances of Crimes Against Children
According to police investigations, A posted on the online community "DC Inside" last December, stating, "I will go to school next week and kill everyone," along with the real names and pictures of five female students attending an elementary school in Seoul. It was confirmed that these students were friends of elementary school student B, whom A had previously approached.
A had contacted B via social media, asking for photos and videos but was blocked. Subsequently, he contacted B's friends to request photos of B.
After being confronted with a request to stop contacting her, A posted the threatening message.

The police are also rigorously investigating evidence that A posted and distributed child pornography.
During the investigation, it was additionally revealed that A had posted various threats on the internet, including messages stating he would kill unspecified women at Dongduk Women's University, Sungsin Women's University, Bucheon Station, and Busan Station, as well as false claims about planting explosives in multi-use facilities like Kintex and threats of arson against the Constitutional Court.
After receiving a report, the police apprehended A six months later on the 16th in Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province, and detained him on the 18th.
Currently, additional investigations regarding A are underway.
