Zerobaseone is generating a hot response in Japan. They recorded the highest sales among K-pop artists in the first half of this year.

On the 3rd, Oricon announced the "Oricon Mid-Year Ranking 2024" on its official website. Zerobaseone ranked 2nd in the "New Artist Ranking" category, achieving sales of 1.01 billion yen (approximately 8.6 billion KRW). The number one spot went to the Japanese idol group "Aぇ!group." Zerobaseone garnered attention by securing the highest sales among K-pop artists.

The Oricon mid-year ranking was established in 2018. It sums up the sales generated from singles, albums, DVDs, Blu-rays, digital singles/albums, and streaming during the tally period.

Zerobaseone officially debuted in Japan last March. With their first single "Yurayura-Unmei no Hana," they became half-million sellers within a week of debut. The single also received "Double Platinum" certification from the Japan Record Association based on March shipments, meaning they achieved cumulative shipments of over 500,000 copies.

"Yurayura-Unmei no Hana" recorded the highest first-week sales among debut singles by foreign artists. It dominated the Oricon weekly singles, weekly combined singles, and monthly singles rankings.

Meanwhile, Zerobaseone will perform at Japan's largest urban music festival, "Summer Sonic 2024," this coming August. They will perform in Osaka on August 17 and in Tokyo on August 18.
