Shocking Public Exposure Incident

A man in his 50s was arrested by the police while running naked along Hwajeongcheon in Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.

On the 19th, JTBC's "Incident Report" reported on the photographs sent in by informant A. A explained, "I went for a walk along Hwajeongcheon with friends on the evening of the 14th and saw this scene."

The photos showed the back view of a man in his 50s running naked along the Hwajeongcheon walking trail. The man had a small hip sack around his waist, but it was insufficient to cover his private parts completely.

Shocking Exposure Behavior in Public Places

It was reported that during the run, the hip sack moved, exposing parts of his body.

Notably, there were female users on the walking trail at that time, and according to A's testimony, "One woman encountered the naked man while running in the opposite direction."

Informant A shared, "I was also greatly shocked to see the naked man and immediately reported it to the police," conveying the shock of the situation.

Upon receiving the report, the police quickly dispatched to the scene and arrested the man. A expressed disbelief, stating, "I've never seen such a person in Hwajeongcheon, which is used by residents of all ages."

Kim Eun-bae, former head of the International Crime Investigation Team at the Seoul Police Agency, explained, "Even just walking around naked can result in a fine of up to 100,000 won, detention, or payment of a fine under the Minor Offenses Act."

He added, "If the man's private parts are exposed, it constitutes a public indecency offense, which could lead to imprisonment for up to one year or a fine of up to 5 million won."
