Park Ji-won Criticizes Former First Lady Kim Kun-hee's Hospitalization for Depression
On the 18th, Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, strongly criticized former President Yoon Suk-yeol's wife, Kim Kun-hee, for being hospitalized for depression.
In a CBS radio interview, Park stated, "I hope that Yoon Suk-yeol and Kim Kun-hee can show a clean image at least in the end," directly calling the former presidential couple's behavior 'disgraceful'.

Park questioned, "After serving as president and first lady for three years, can they act so disgracefully?" expressing his dissatisfaction.
He particularly pointed out the prosecution's investigative behavior during Yoon Suk-yeol's administration, stating, "The worst part is not just the imperial investigation, but the prosecution itself. They've swept everything under the rug."
Suspicion of Avoiding Prosecution Summons and Evidence of Stock Manipulation
Park raised questions regarding the timing of Kim's hospitalization, asking, "Only now are the call records emerging, and stock manipulation is coming to light. And because of the summons notice, does she go to the hospital claiming depression? Is it easy for ordinary citizens like us to get a hospital bed?"
He strongly criticized, "Yoon Suk-yeol and Kim Kun-hee, who continue to show such disgraceful behavior until the end, will never be forgiven."
When asked by the host whether Kim's hospitalization was to avoid a prosecution summons, Park declared, "It is to avoid it."

He added, "During the presidential election, if I go to the prosecution, it will impact the election. If a regular person doesn't go because it could affect the election, will the prosecution let it slide?"
Criticism of the Prosecutor’s Office Regarding 'Smoky Gunhee' Evidence
Regarding reports that prosecutors had secured hundreds of call files between Kim and her account manager during the raid on Mirae Asset Securities, Park commented on the information that conversations revealing Kim was aware of stock manipulation were found in those records, saying, "Yes."
Park stated, "The prosecution, which did not act before, is now cowardly claiming, 'Is Smoky Gunhee out now?'" strongly criticizing the prosecution's delayed investigative behavior. He added, "How can our citizens trust this prosecution? President Yoon can't go because he's being summoned by the prosecution. In a third location. (While doing this) isn't it quite bad?"
