People Power Party Spokesperson Ho Jun-seok emphasized the importance of adhering to the rule of law regarding former President Yoon Seok-yeol's failure to respond to a police summons, stating, "Regardless of his personal thoughts, it is appropriate to comply with the summons."
The former president's side is currently refusing to comply with the police request, claiming, "Legally, no crime has been established."
On the 18th, during an appearance on KBC's 'Yeouido Invitation,' Spokesperson Ho stated, "It seems that former President Yoon's lawyer believes that even if a warrant for arrest or detention is requested for non-compliance with the summons, it will likely be dismissed. Nevertheless, I think it is appropriate to undergo the investigation."

When the host asked, "Is it reasonable for ordinary citizens to be summoned by the police or prosecution and say, 'I have no crime. I won’t go'?", Ho responded, "It is certainly unreasonable," and emphasized, "Whether it is former President Yoon or those currently in power, they must not ignore the rule of law."
Spokesperson Ho draws a line against speculating on political motives
When the host inquired whether former President Yoon's refusal to respond to the summons was aimed at rallying support from his base, Ho retorted, "Does former President Yoon have many supporters who would rally like that right now?" He then expressed skepticism, stating, "What effect would there be in rallying through that?"
In particular, Spokesperson Ho said, "His wife is currently in the hospital due to serious health issues; would he be thinking about being dragged back to the detention center to try for political gain? I really wonder if that is the case."

Regarding the phone recordings related to stock manipulation involving Kim Geon-hee or her hospitalization for depression, Ho stated, "Everyone should be equal before the law," and expressed hope that if the prosecution has new leads, they will clarify the truth.
He remarked, "The special investigation should also be launched. Everything that needs to come out will come out," and emphasized, "If there is indeed a violation of the law, we should investigate, process it according to the law, and if there is a punishment to be given, it will be given; that's the essence of a rule of law country."
