Kangaroo son unfollows mom on social media after getting a girlfriend… "Am I being too sensitive?"
A story has emerged of a woman upset that her adult son cut off their social media connection after getting a girlfriend.
On the 17th, a post titled "Son unfollowed mom after getting a girlfriend, am I being too sensitive?" appeared on an online community.
The author, referred to as A, revealed, "After my son started dating, he unfollowed me on the Instagram account we were both following," and added, "He didn't even tell me that he got a girlfriend."

She continued, "I can't see the KakaoTalk profile that was always decorated; I think he trapped me in a multi-profile."
The multi-profile feature is one of KakaoTalk's functions that allows users to set different profiles for different contacts.
It is often used to avoid sharing personal profiles with people they do not wish to share their everyday life with.

A expressed, "I'm still paying for all of my son's living expenses," and lamented, "It irritates me that he's creating secrets when he doesn't even have the ability to be independent."
Most netizens who encountered this story responded negatively, stating, "At that age, he's an adult. He's not a child that needs to be cared for," "I understand because I've been stressed out by a mom who interferes and asks questions about everything," and "He's better than my son, who is a lifelong single."
On the other hand, some netizens empathized with A's feelings, leaving comforting comments such as, "It hurts when a friend unfollows you, so it's understandable that you'd be upset if your son does," "I can understand how you feel," and "How about trying to talk to your son?"
