WayV topped major charts in Japan.
According to the latest Oricon update (as of the 1st), WayV claimed the No. 1 spot on the Daily Album Ranking with their 5th mini-album 'Give Me That.'
This marks WayV's first time reaching the top of the Oricon charts. Achieving this feat comes in their fifth year since forming the group, right before their official debut in Japan.
It is also noteworthy that the album entered the charts a month after its release. The delayed physical album sale date influenced its ranking.
WayV made their comeback with 'Give Me That' on the 3rd of last month. They gained global popularity, taking the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 19 regions/countries.
They received significant love particularly from Greater China. 'Give Me That' swept the No. 1 spot on China QQ Music, Kugou Music, and NetEase Music digital album sales charts.
They are set to debut in Japan. They will release an original album. On September 25th, they will unveil their first Japanese album 'The Highest.'
Meanwhile, WayV will perform at 'Waterbomb Seoul 2024' on the 7th at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.
