"Make sure to carry an umbrella"… Preview of the rainy season in the central region
Today (16th, Monday), rain is expected in most parts of the country until the afternoon, and the temperature is predicted to rise to around 30 degrees Celsius, resulting in hot and humid weather.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted on the 16th that the entire nation will be cloudy, with occasional clouds starting from the afternoon.
Rain will fall in Jeju Island until morning and in most parts of the country until the afternoon. Some areas in the inland regions and mountainous areas of Gangwon-do may experience continued rain until the evening.
In particular, Jeju Island is experiencing heavy rain of around 20 mm per hour, so attention is needed for facility management and safety accidents. Other regions should also prepare for thunder and lightning accompanied by strong winds.

The expected precipitation for the 16th is as follows: ▲ Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi 5-20 mm ▲ Gangwon mountainous areas, inland 5-30 mm ▲ Gangwon eastern coast 5-10 mm ▲ Chungbuk 5-30 mm ▲ Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam 5-20 mm ▲ Jeonnam southern coast 10-40 mm ▲ Gwangju, Jeonnam (excluding southern coast) 5-20 mm ▲ Busan, Gyeongnam southern coast 10-40 mm ▲ Gyeongbuk northern inland, northeastern mountainous area 5-30 mm ▲ Ulsan, Gyeongnam inland, Daegu, Gyeongbuk (excluding northern inland and northeastern mountainous area) 5-20 mm ▲ Ulleungdo, Dokdo less than 5 mm ▲ Jeju Island 20-70 mm.
For the time being, temperatures are expected to be similar to or slightly higher than the average (minimum 16-19 degrees, maximum 23-29 degrees). In the inland areas of the country, daytime temperatures are expected to rise to around 30 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in the morning is expected to be 19-23 degrees, and the maximum temperature during the day is estimated to be 25-31 degrees.
Jeju Island advises 'to refrain from going out'… "Be careful of very strong winds"

According to detailed observational data (AWS) by region, the temperatures in major cities as of 6 AM today are as follows: ▲ Seoul 22.3 degrees ▲ Incheon 20.6 degrees ▲ Chuncheon 21.7 degrees ▲ Gangneung 20.0 degrees ▲ Daejeon 21.9 degrees ▲ Daegu 23.7 degrees ▲ Jeonju 22.8 degrees ▲ Gwangju 22.4 degrees ▲ Busan 21.5 degrees ▲ Jeju 24.0 degrees.
The highest temperatures are expected to be: ▲ Seoul 28 degrees ▲ Incheon 25 degrees ▲ Chuncheon 28 degrees ▲ Gangneung 29 degrees ▲ Daejeon 28 degrees ▲ Daegu 30 degrees ▲ Jeonju 30 degrees ▲ Gwangju 28 degrees ▲ Busan 26 degrees ▲ Jeju 28 degrees.
From the afternoon to the night, strong winds of around 55 km/h are expected along the west coast. Attention should be paid to facility management and safety accidents.

Until morning, areas along the coast may experience fog with visibility of less than 1 km.
In the southern outer seas of Jeju Island, where a wave warning is in effect, winds may blow very strongly at speeds of 30-60 km/h, and waves may reach heights of 1.5-4.0 meters, making it likely that a wave warning will be issued.
Consequently, the day before, Jeju Island advised through a disaster safety text message, "Refrain from going out during vulnerable hours, drive slowly during commuting hours, and pay special attention to safety."
The fine dust concentration is expected to remain at a level ranging from 'good' to 'moderate' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and precipitation.
