“Veteran 2” to be released on September 13… Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hae-in, action duo

The movie 'Veteran 2' (directed by Ryoo Seung-wan) returns after 9 years.

'Veteran 2' has been confirmed for release on September 13. An extreme action poster was also revealed, showcasing fragments of director Ryoo Seung-wan's evolved action styling.

'Veteran 2' is an action crime investigation drama. Rookie detective Park Sun-woo (played by Jung Hae-in) joins the violent crime investigation unit led by veteran detective Seo Do-cheol (played by Hwang Jung-min), who is determined to catch the bad guys till the end. They pursue a serial killer.

The poster captures Seo Do-cheol and Park Sun-woo in a tense standoff with someone. The urgency amid the torrential rain is palpable. Although composed of two posters, they are directed to appear as a single scene.

New face Jung Hae-in joins the cast. Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hae-in will portray the veteran and rookie detective dynamic. They are expected to showcase a captivating relationship and intricate acting chemistry.

Director Ryoo Seung-wan said, "Since the release of 'Veteran' in 2015, I've consistently thought of making a sequel someday. It was a project that lingered in my mind for 9 years. Its completion is even more meaningful."

'Veteran 2' was also invited to the Cannes Film Festival. It received praise such as "a sequel that surpasses the original" and "a follow-up that does not disappoint." It is set to meet domestic audiences in theaters in the latter half of the year.
