Seoul City Expected to Face Traffic Congestion Due to Large-Scale Rally on the 14th
Traffic congestion is anticipated in downtown Seoul on the 14th due to a large-scale rally and march.
On the 13th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that various groups, including the organizing committee for the Seoul Queer Festival and opposing organizations, would cause traffic disruptions throughout the city.

The Seoul Queer Festival organizing committee plans to hold a rally from 2 PM to 7 PM on the 14th, starting from Jonggak Station in Jongno District, moving to Euljiro 1-ga Station in Jung District, followed by a march in the Jongno and Toegye-ro areas.
Afterward, they plan to return to the Jonggak Station area for a concluding performance before dispersing. They have reported an expected participant count of 30,000.
Opposing rallies and additional large-scale gatherings are also scheduled.
The 'Committee Against the Queer Festival,' which opposes the Queer Festival, is set to hold a rally starting at 1 PM on the same day near the Seoul City Council in Jung District, followed by a march toward Tongil-ro.

They have also reported an expected participant count of 30,000. Moreover, large-scale rallies are planned in the areas of Seocho-daero, Banpo-daero, and Sajik-ro in the afternoon, which is expected to cause traffic congestion throughout the city.
Police Prepare Measures for Traffic Flow
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has developed plans to maintain traffic flow between north-south and east-west directions as much as possible during the rallies and marches, minimizing citizens' discomfort.
Variable lanes will be operated in the areas where the rallies and marches take place, and 310 traffic police officers will be deployed to manage traffic flow and implement vehicle detours.

A police official stated, "Traffic congestion is anticipated on major roads in downtown and Seocho areas," and urged citizens to use the subway if possible and to check traffic information in advance if they need to use vehicles.
Citizens can check traffic conditions related to the rallies through the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's traffic information hotline, the traffic information center's website, and KakaoTalk 'Seoul Police Traffic Information.'
