Nonghyup Employee – Pesticide Company Representative Embezzlement Allegations

In a Nonghyup located in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, a case of embezzlement amounting to hundreds of millions of won has occurred, prompting the police to initiate an investigation.

The accused in this case was found dead before undergoing police interrogation, causing shock.

According to the Sacheon Police Station and related agencies on the 10th, the Gonmyeong Nonghyup in Sacheon detected suspicious signs in pesticide transaction records during a recent computerized inspection.

The Nonghyup immediately requested the submission of relevant documents and an explanation from employee A, who was in charge of the related duties.

However, A suddenly went uncontactable since the 2nd, and was found dead in a mountain area in Gonmyeong-myeon around 2 AM on the 3rd.

Over 700 million won in embezzlement… Allegations of false transactions in pesticide purchases

Sacheon Gonmyeong Nonghyup submitted a complaint to the police on the 5th, alleging that A colluded with pesticide company representative B to embezzle a total of over 733 million won.

According to police investigations, it is presumed that A fabricated payment for pesticides purchased from B's pesticide business from May 2022 until recently, and embezzled a large amount of money by receiving a portion of the funds back. This false transaction had been ongoing for an extended period, resulting in the damage amount exceeding 700 million won.

The police are currently investigating the accurate circumstances of the incident based on the materials submitted by the Nonghyup and the testimonies of related parties.
