Traveling abroad? Starting tomorrow (10th), families with ‘three or more children’ can check in first.

Multi-child households to begin 'Priority Departure Service' at 4 airports tomorrow (10th)

Starting tomorrow, priority departure services (fast track) for multi-child households with three or more children will be implemented at Incheon, Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju airports.

Families will be able to use a dedicated lane typically utilized by diplomats and flight attendants to expedite their departure process.

On the 9th, Incheon International Airport Corporation and Korea Airports Corporation announced the introduction of the priority departure service for multi-child households across the four airports.

Currently, the priority departure services are available to vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled individuals, and pregnant women. Starting tomorrow, multi-child households will be added to the list of eligible groups.

Here, 'multi-child households' refer to families consisting of three or more children, all of whom are under the age of 19.

Priority departure service is available when at least one parent and one child are departing together. Additionally, up to three accompanying individuals per household can also utilize the service.

When using the priority departure service, a 'certificate of family relationship' or 'resident registration document' is mandatory.

To use the priority departure service, families must prepare either a certificate of family relationship or a resident registration document. These documents, along with passports, should be presented at the designated exit for vulnerable passengers in the departure hall.

The priority exit for vulnerable passengers at Incheon Airport is located at the side door of the departures area 2-5 in Terminal 1 and to the left of the departures area 1-2 in Terminal 2.

Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju airports will also implement the same service for both international and domestic flights.
