Presidential Office briefing now shows ‘journalist faces’… “Four cameras installed for interactive communication”

Camera added to reflect reporter inquiries… Emphasizing interactive communication

The Yoon Seok-yeol administration is undertaking a comprehensive improvement of the presidential briefing room system. The aim is to convey the communication process between the president and the media more vividly and transparently.

Kang Yu-jung, the spokesperson for the presidential office, announced during a briefing at the presidential office in Yongsan, Seoul, on the 8th, "In line with the Yoon administration's priority of making communication and listening to the public the foremost value of national governance, we are starting to improve the briefing system."

The plan is to restructure the existing one-way briefing operation into a format that allows for interactive communication.

Core of the improvement: Change in video systems with four additional cameras… Live broadcasting of reporter questions

The key to this improvement is the change in the video system. The presidential office plans to install four new cameras in the briefing room to capture not only the spokesperson but also scenes of reporters asking questions and the reactions from the field.

Spokesperson Kang stated, "We will move away from the one-sided communication method that only showcased the spokesperson and officials," adding, "We want to provide an interactive and vivid transmission of the reporters' inquiries and the current situation."

Through this, the administration intends to convey the dynamism and realness of press conferences more effectively and to dramatically improve the viewing experience for the public.
