President Lee Jae-myung clearly stated during a dinner with the leadership of the Democratic Party of Korea that "meeting the people's expectations is our first mission.”

This signifies a commitment to prioritizing people's livelihoods over political gain.

According to the political sphere on the 7th, the dinner took place from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the presidential residence in Hanam-dong, Seoul. Among the 24 attendees were Acting Party Leader and Floor Leader Park Chan-dae, former Supreme Committee member Jeong Cheong-rae, as well as lawmakers Kim Byung-ki and Seo Young-kyo, who are running for the next floor leader position, and Prime Minister nominee Kim Min-seok.

From the presidential office, Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik and Spokesperson Kang Yu-jeong were present.

At the dinner, President Lee stated, "As we overcome this challenging time together, we must sincerely repay the people's choice," adding, "True success is when the lives of each and every citizen improve, rather than political achievements." He further declared, "I will always maintain a humble attitude in the administration of the country."

Attendees are reported to have deeply resonated with President Lee's national governance direction, expressing their intention to contribute to the success of the Lee Jae-myung administration. The atmosphere emphasized strengthening communication between the party and the government, as well as linking policies to focus on people's livelihoods.

After the dinner, President Lee shared on his Facebook, "I had a meaningful time with the first and second-term Democratic Party leadership during my time as party leader."

He expressed, "It was refreshing to sit across from my comrades after a long time and reflect on our past journey," adding, "I reaffirmed that the driving force behind how far we’ve come amidst numerous crises has been our sense of responsibility and mission towards the people."

This meeting is viewed as the starting point for organic cooperation between the party and the government, serving as a significant signal for committing to national governance stability and a people-centered political agenda.
