20s man who caused disturbance at girlfriend's home falls to death after being sent home by police

A 20s man who exhibited violent behavior towards his girlfriend in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do, died after falling from the rooftop of the same building after being sent home following a police investigation.

According to the Hanam Police Station on the 4th, a report was received at 9:38 AM regarding a man in his 20s, referred to as A, causing a ruckus at an officetel in Mangwol-dong, Hanam.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police confirmed that A was throwing soju bottles and causing a disturbance at the home of his girlfriend, referred to as B, and her family.

It was reported that A had visited B's residence that morning with one companion and suddenly displayed violent behavior.

During this process, it is said that fragments of the soju bottles injured individuals in his party, causing minor injuries.

Fell to death after police investigation… No criminal charges found

After receiving the report, the police explained the investigation process to A before sending him home. However, while the police were taking statements from the victims, A fell from the rooftop of the same building and died.

A police official stated that A was already intoxicated upon visiting B's home.

As of now, investigations have not revealed any involvement of others or findings of criminal charges in A's fall.

The Hanam Police Station is collecting witness statements and evidence from the scene to ascertain the exact circumstances of A's death.
