Young K from 'Day6' is leaving 'Kiss the Radio.'
Young K said goodbye to the listeners in the live broadcast on the 28th of last month and in the recorded broadcast on the 30th. He put a full stop to his year-long journey with KBS Cool FM's 'Kiss the Radio.'
Young K was appointed as the 9th DJ for 'Kiss the Radio' in November 2020. He hosted the show until October 2021 before enlisting in KATUSA. He returned as the 11th DJ after being discharged in April last year.
Young K shared his thoughts, saying, "I think the unforgettable moments will be from the scenery of fans warmly welcoming me on my first day back as a DJ to the last week when they cheered me on." He added, "Being DJ Young D, artist Young K, and human Kang Young Hyun, it has been an opportunity for me to grow further."
He continued, "I remember commemorating Day6's comeback on 'Kiss the Radio.' It was an exciting and happy day that I had been eagerly waiting for. I was happy because My Day (fandom name) also shared the joy."
He expressed his gratitude to the loyal listeners. "Those nights were filled with your stories. It was an honor to convey those words. Even if difficulties come in the days we will face ahead, I hope we never lose our happiness," he said.
Finally, he concluded with the radio closing remark, "Although Young D is saying goodbye, Young K will continue to appear. Please support and look forward to me. I will now bid you today's farewell. Sleep well, my person. Good night."
Meanwhile, 'Monsta X' I.M has been appointed as the 12th DJ for 'Kiss the Radio.'
