“IU expresses condolences for earthquake victims” – IU comforts fans at Taiwan concert.

Singer IU moved fans in Taiwan during her performance.

On the 6th and 7th, IU held the ‘2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert in Taipei’ at Taipei Arena, creating unforgettable memories for approximately 24,000 people.

Her thoughtful gesture stood out as she displayed a message on the large screen after the concert, saying, “We sincerely express our condolences to the families affected by the Hualien earthquake.” The message was provided in Korean, Chinese, and English.

IU also said, “I want to convey my gratitude as well” and asked for support for “all those who have worked hard in the aftermath of this earthquake.”

The touched fans stayed in their seats for a long while, and several Taiwanese media outlets reported on IU’s message, making it a hot topic locally.

This concert comes 5 years after her 2019 tour. Around 720,000 people connected simultaneously during the ticket sale, and local leading media outlets covered IU’s performance.

IU delivered hits like “Hold My Hand,” “JamJam,” “Ah Puh,” “Bbi Bbi,” “Celebrity,” “Blooming,” “Eight,” “Give Me Your Hand,” “Shopper,” “Through the Night,” “You & I,” “Shh..”, “Twenty-Three,” and more during the concert.

For the encore, she performed “Secret Garden,” “Love Poem,” “Leon,” “Lilac,” “Palette,” “Ending Scene,” “Coin,” “Someday,” and others.

Next, IU will visit Singapore for her tour.
