BTS proves its unwavering global popularity.

The Japan Record Association announced its streaming certification works for February on its official website on the 28th. Works that surpass a certain level of cumulative plays are included in the list.

BTS received a platinum certification for a song released seven years ago. The title track ‘Spring Day’ from ‘Wings: You Never Walk Alone’ surpassed 100 million streams.

This is their 15th time receiving such certification. Previously, BTS has received the association’s platinum certification (streaming category) for ‘Dynamite’, ‘Butter’, ‘Permission to Dance’, and others.

‘Spring Day’ is an alternative hip-hop track that melds British rock sensibilities with electronic sounds, crafting a lyrical and wistful chorus.

It records a resurgence on domestic and international charts every spring season. Last year, it surprisingly topped the Japan Oricon Chart’s ‘Daily Digital Single Ranking’ on December 12.

In this association’s announcement, additional works also received gold certification. ‘Black Swan’, a track from their fourth full album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’, was awarded a streaming gold certification.

Since its release in 2020, ‘Black Swan’ has been streamed over 50 million times in Japan alone, making it their 40th song to achieve gold certification four years after its release.

Meanwhile, all members of BTS are currently fulfilling their military duties, with hopes of resuming full group activities in June 2025.
