“Nvidia’s Jensen Huang visits SK Hynix booth in person… ‘I love you, we are one team!’”

Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, made a surprise visit to Computex, directly praising HBM4, raising expectations for collaboration.

As SK hynix accelerates its efforts to dominate the next-generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM4) market, industry attention is focused on the potential strengthening of its strategic partnership with NVIDIA.

On the 20th of May, at Computex 2025, the largest IT exhibition in Asia held in Taipei, Taiwan, Jensen Huang unexpectedly visited the SK hynix booth.

During this visit, Huang personally examined the displayed HBM4 samples and expressed admiration, stating, "It’s really beautiful," and requested, "Please support HBM4 well."

After being guided by Kim Joo-sun, President of SK hynix's AI infrastructure business, around the booth, Huang repeatedly expressed positive sentiments, saying, "SK hynix is really doing well," "Go SK!" and "SK number one." He also left handwritten messages on the exhibited products, such as "JHH LOVES SK HYNIX!" and "One Team." "JHH" stands for his initials, Jen-Hsun Huang.

In March, SK hynix supplied the industry’s first HBM4 samples to NVIDIA, once again proving its technological prowess. With mass production expected in the second half of this year, in-depth supply discussions with NVIDIA are anticipated. Currently, SK hynix is officially supplying HBM3E (5th generation) that goes into NVIDIA's latest AI GPU, Blackwell.

HBM4 is an evolved next-generation memory that is evaluated as a key technology that will dramatically enhance AI server performance.

The industry interprets Huang's visit and comments as a strong signal that SK hynix is likely to be selected as the official partner for HBM4.

**NVIDIA to Hold Global Briefing on the 21st…Focus on Mention of Samsung**

Meanwhile, Huang is expected to address sensitive issues at the NVIDIA global media briefing scheduled for the 21st, including the current status of Samsung Electronics’ HBM4 development and supply negotiations, and supply chain strategies amid US-China technology conflicts.

Currently, SK hynix and Micron supply HBM to NVIDIA, while Samsung Electronics is reported to have not yet completed the verification of HBM3E. Market analyses suggest that the leader in the HBM4 supply race could determine the leadership in the AI semiconductor ecosystem.
