“BTS’ V has proven his global influence once again as his solo song has made it onto Billboard’s major chart.
Billboard announced via their official social media on the 26th (KST), ‘V’s new song ‘FRI(END)S’ has debuted at 65th place on the main singles chart, the Hot 100.’
This marks the fourth time V has placed a solo song on the Hot 100. It showed a close difference to his highest-ranking song ‘Slow Dancing,’ which reached 51st place.
V first entered the Hot 100 with ‘Christmas Tree’ at 79th place last year. Subsequently, ‘Love Me Again’ at 96th place and ‘Slow Dancing’ entered the rankings in turn.
‘FRI(END)S’ is a love song fitting for spring, expressing the desire to move beyond friendship in its lyrics. V’s vocal range, moving between deep and falsetto tones, is a highlight.
The song swept various charts immediately after its release, hitting 7th place on Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Songs Global’ on the 15th.
In the UK, it broke his previous records. According to the latest tally from the Official UK Charts on the 22nd, ‘FRI(END)S’ reached 13th place on the singles chart, marking his highest position to date.”
