Concerns Arise Over Military Discipline as Accidents Involving Military Equipment Occur Successively

Fortunately, two soldiers, including the driver who were on board the armored vehicle, were reportedly not seriously injured. Police, who quickly arrived at the scene immediately after the accident, promptly controlled the road to prevent secondary accidents.

A police official stated, "The situation at the scene has been completely handled," adding, "We believe the accident occurred because the steering mechanism did not function properly."

Police and military authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident involving the armored vehicle and its driver.

Following incidents involving military equipment, such as the accidental firing by a fighter jet in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province in March and a mistake involving the delivery of aerial rockets by a light attack aircraft in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province last month, there are growing concerns that military discipline may be lax.
