The concert of American rapper Kanye West (YE) in South Korea has been abruptly canceled. This decision was made just 10 days before the performance due to the controversy surrounding his pro-Hitler remarks.

Coupang Play announced on the 19th, "Due to the recent controversy surrounding singer Kanye West, the 'YE' concert scheduled for the 31st has been unfortunately canceled."

Merchandise sales have also been halted. They stated, "Sales of 'Yeezy' merchandise will also be suspended starting at 1 PM today." Ticket refunds will be individually notified to purchasers.

Coupang Play did not provide specific details about Kanye West's controversy. However, it appears to be related to his recent social media comments praising Hitler and Nazism.

On the 8th, he released a digital single titled "HEIL HITLER" on the anniversary of Europe’s victory in World War II. This song reportedly includes lyrics that seem to endorse Hitler.

He repeated the phrase, "My friends are all Nazis. Hail Hitler," more than ten times. Toward the end of the song, he sampled a speech by Hitler from 1935.

Jewish human rights organizations in the U.S. immediately expressed outrage. Jim Burke, director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, noted, "Releasing this song on a day that commemorates the defeat of the Nazi regime is an obvious hate speech."

He has previously sparked controversy with remarks expressing anti-Semitism and praising Nazism. In February, he posted on X (formerly Twitter) statements like "I am a Nazi" and "I love Hitler."
