‘HYBE’s New Girl Group ‘IILLIT’ Takes Their First Step in the Music Industry

Belift Lab announced on the 25th the team’s name, identity, message of the new album, and tracklist ahead of IILLIT’s official debut. IILLIT will release their first mini album ‘SUPER REAL ME’ today.

IILLIT is HYBE’s third girl group and also the first girl group created by Belift Lab, which manages ENHYPEN. They formed a top-tier 5-member lineup through the broadcast of ‘Are You Next?’ last year.

The team name embodies the message of a group with great potential, combining the proactive will (I WILL) and the pronoun (IT), indicating ‘anything is possible’ depending on the verb that fills in between the two words.

Their identity resonates with a friendly sense of empathy. IILLIT reminds one of ‘a friend in class you want to hang out with.’ Their new album also captures the realness of teenagers, being honest with their emotions and presenting their daily lives as they are.

The new album includes a total of 4 songs. The title track is ‘Magnetic’, along with ‘My World’, ‘Midnight Fiction’, and ‘Lucky Girl Syndrome’.

It sings about the excitement of a teenage girl. ‘Magnetic’ metaphorically describes IILLIT’s honesty and boldness rushing towards someone they like with the phrase “super attraction.”

Producer Bang Si-hyuk personally led the production. The team’s identity can also be felt in the performance of the title track, incorporating kitschy yet hip movements, reflecting how IILLIT actually enjoys themselves.

Meanwhile, IILLIT will kick off their full-scale activities with the debut show ‘ILLIT: I’LL (SHOW) IT’ broadcasted on Mnet, M2, and the official YouTube channel of HYBE Labels at 7 pm today.
