SEVENTEEN, First Release of New Album Track… ‘Thunder’ Promises Strong Addictiveness

Seventeen has heated up the comeback atmosphere by revealing portions of all tracks. On the 16th, they uploaded the highlight medley video for their 5th studio album “HAPPY BURSTDAY” on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel.

This video is designed to allow Carats (the fandom name) to witness Seventeen’s rebirth from their perspective. The VR viewing environment and 8D audio provided a sense of immersion.

First up was “Bad Influence.” This track has garnered attention for its collaboration with producer Pharrell Williams. A bold atmosphere was felt throughout the piece.

Another group song, “HBD,” also played. With its rough rock-based sound, it announces an intense rebirth. The members showcased a unique charm through their unrestrained vocals.

The title track “THUNDER” features a strong addictive quality. Rooted in EDM, it incorporates dance pop sounds, promising a signature performance.

Thirteen solo songs followed. Joshua’s “Fortunate Change” and Jun’s “Gemini” sparked pleasant anticipation.

Seungkwan expressed resonance with “Raindrops.” Wonwoo’s “99.9%” brought a band sound, while DK conveyed emotion with “Happy Virus.”

Vernon offered a twist with “Shining Star.” Hoshi’s “Damage” has a sensuous vibe. Dino reinterpreted hip-hop R&B with “Trigger.”

Woozi’s “Destiny” captivates with its lyrical melody. Jeonghan showcased sweet vocals with “Coincidence,” and DK’s “Skyfall” features an enchanting dreamy tone.

Mingyu’s “Shake It Off” maximized a groovy feel within tech house. S.Coups expressed confidence through “Jungle.”

The agency stated, “The highlight medley was planned to allow everyone to experience Seventeen’s rebirth process together,” adding, “It is possible to explore the space from a first-person perspective.”

They continued, “It contains the message that ‘anyone can change through challenge,’” recommending that watching through VR devices allows for a more immersive experience.

Seventeen's “HAPPY BURSTDAY” will be unveiled on the 26th at 6 PM. This album showcases the process of Seventeen “exploding” with new possibilities and rebirthing.

Ahead of the album release, they will hold a large offline event to celebrate their 10th anniversary from the 23rd to the 25th at Sebit Island and the Jamsu Bridge area, titled “B-Day Party.”
