Actor Lee Jae-wook is returning with a mystery melodrama historical series. He stars in the Netflix series 'Tangkkeum' (written by Kim Jin-ah, directed by Kim Hong-sun).

In 'Tangkkeum', Lee Jae-wook plays Hong-rang, the son of Joseon's largest merchant company. He returns after 12 years of being missing, but he has lost all memories from before his disappearance.

He forms a tense relationship with his half-sister, Jae-i (played by Jo Bo-ah). Despite their similar looks and manners of speaking, he arouses suspicion in Jae-i. Throughout this process, they both experience strange feelings for each other.

Lee Jae-wook delicately portrays the anxiety and confusion that Hong-rang embodies, maximizing the immersion with his emotional fluctuations. It's not just about psychological portrayal, as he also takes on high-intensity action scenes.

He made his debut in 2018 with the drama 'Memories of the Alhambra.' Since then, he has delivered impressive performances in 'Extraordinary You,' the 'Alchemy of Souls' series, and 'I’m Dying Soon.'

The agency stated, "Lee Jae-wook has shown a wide acting spectrum by crossing various genres and characters," and added, "Please look forward to the new interpretation of the Hong-rang character."

Meanwhile, 'Tangkkeum' is a story about half-siblings who become entangled in unknown emotions after reuniting for the first time in 12 years. It will be released on Netflix on the 16th at 4 PM.
