HYBE Mexico will launch a local boy group.

HYBE Latin America announced on the 15th, "Following the band survival audition program, we will carry out our second major project. We will select a new boy idol group."

This project is planned as a reality series. Filming recently began at a customized camp located in Mexico City. The final members will be selected through this series.

A related teaser video was released on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel on the 14th. Many participants appeared, showcasing their talents in dance and singing in front of the judges.

Out of all applicants, 300 (first round) were chosen, and only 16 of them joined the camp. They will receive training for about six months, guided by over 30 professional trainers specializing in vocals and more.

The mentors joining the project are also impressive. The overall producer is choreographer Kenny Ortega, known for "High School Musical," "Descendants," and more.

Kenny Ortega has handled choreography for large-scale events such as the Super Bowl, Academy Awards, and Olympic opening ceremonies. He also directed a documentary after the passing of pop star Michael Jackson.

Choreographer Char Radana will also contribute as the head choreographer. He has collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on this year's Super Bowl stage as well as Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez, and Beyoncé.

Vocal training will be spearheaded by Robert Stevenson, a renowned vocal coach who has worked with pop artists Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, and SZA, among others.

Co-format creators Jaime Escalón and Lucas Jaramillo will also serve as producers, leading the creative aspect of the project.

The plan is to introduce artists that fuse the K-pop training system with Latin America's unique artistic sensibilities, utilizing various channels such as TV, streaming, and social media.

Meanwhile, HYBE Latin America is set to premiere a band audition program titled "Pase a la Fama," in collaboration with American broadcaster Telemundo, next month.
