Elementary School Students Bring '1000 Won' Found on the Street to Police Station
Two elementary school students who found a 1000 won bill on the ground and went to the police station to ask for help in finding its owner have touched hearts.
On the afternoon of the 14th, Uiryeong County reported that two students visited the Uiryeong Police Station around 2 PM. The third-grade students from Uiryeong Elementary School, Wang Song and Jang Hai-min, stated, "We found money at the school entrance and want to return it to its owner" as they handed over the 1000 won bill they had found.
As the officer accepted the money, the students seemed ready to leave the police station, feeling they had completed their task.
However, Officer Kwak Jae-min from the Crime Prevention Division called the students back to ask them in detail about how they found the money.

Wang Song said, "I picked up the money that was dropped on the street while on my way to tutoring," and Jang Hai-min added, "I learned in a book that money found should be brought to the police station, so I came to the police station with my friend without hesitation."
Officer Kwak reassured the students that he would help find the owner, and he processed the 1000 won bill they brought as a 'found item.'
He continued, "I am very proud of these kind children. Please be sure to praise them when you meet them."
