Boy Next Door has achieved a career high. Immediately upon their comeback, they reached number one on both music and album charts.
Boy Next Door released their fourth mini-album 'No Genre' on the 13th. The title track 'I Feel Good' secured the top spot on the Bugs real-time chart on the 14th.
The song also hit 5th place on the Melon 'Top 100' chart. The included track '123-78' ranked 6th, 'Step By Step' reached 9th, and 'Are You Joking?' made it to 10th place.
They maintained an upward trend from their previous work. 'Only Today I Love You' (오늘만 I LOVE YOU) remained at 4th on the 'Top 100' thanks to the impact of their comeback. This solidified its long-term success.
The album sales data is also noteworthy. According to Hanteo Chart, 'No Genre' sold 708,558 copies on its first day, soaring straight to number one on the daily album chart. This is an increase of approximately 100,000 copies compared to their previous work.
There is keen interest in whether Boy Next Door will record their second million-seller. Their mini-album '19.99', released last September, surpassed cumulative sales of one million copies.
This album has also gained attention in the global market. It appeared on the iTunes 'Top Albums' chart in a total of 13 countries/regions, including Canada, Denmark, Mexico, and Turkey.
Moreover, 'No Genre' reached number one on the iTunes 'Top Albums' chart in a total of 7 countries/regions, being loved in Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
'I Feel Good' made it onto the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in a total of 11 countries/regions. The song reached 3rd place on the real-time 'Top Songs' chart of Japan's largest music site, Line Music.
Since their debut in 2023, Boy Next Door has been creating "music closely tied to life." They have received positive feedback by performing live with hand-held microphones at every concert.
Their efforts have paid off with a steady growth pattern. Their first mini-album entered the US 'Billboard 200' at 162nd place, followed by 93rd with their second mini-album, and 40th with their third.
'No Genre' is an album that embodies Boy Next Door's confidence. They express their ambition to create music without being confined to the boundaries of genre through this new release.
'I Feel Good' conveys a message that it will not be limited by any particular style. Members Myungjaehyun, Taesan, and Unhak participated in the song's production, filling it with the team's unique musical colors.
Meanwhile, Boy Next Door will hold a comeback showcase at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 14th. They are also scheduled to appear on Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 15th.
