Hong Jun-pyo Supporters Group Declares Support for Lee Jae-myung
Supporters groups of former Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo, such as 'Hong Samo' and 'Hong Sarang', have declared their support for Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.

On the 13th, a declaration ceremony held at the Democratic Party's central office saw a large attendance of supporters, including Hong Samo, Hong Sarang, National Integration Alliance, and the SNS team from Hong Jun-pyo's camp.
Key figures at the event included Shin Young-gil, the central president of Hong Samo, and Lee Seok-beom, the president of Hong Samo in the Seoul-Gyeonggi region.
President Shin Young-gil criticized, "The recent turmoil in the People Power Party's unification has left scars in the hearts of many voters who have supported conservative parties," asserting that "the People Power Party no longer deserves to be called the representative conservative party of the Republic of Korea."
He stated, "Now we stand here to realize the integrated country where conservatism and progressivism coexist, which was envisioned by Hong Jun-pyo. I believe that the politician who will lead the Republic of Korea into a developed nation is candidate Lee Jae-myung," making his support clear.

An Unprecedented Decision by Conservative Supporters: The Background
One executive member of Hong Samo explained the background of this decision, saying, "In a situation where there is no leader we can believe in and follow, we support candidate Lee Jae-myung who advocates for unification and promises to gather conservative talents while reflecting our values in his policies."
He added, "Going beyond mere support, it is our value and the normal thing for the advancement of our country to help achieve an overwhelming victory in this presidential election."
Representative Lee An-joo, who attended the declaration ceremony, remarked, "I think this was not an easy decision," and expressed her gratitude for their courage.
