John Cena Defeats Randy Orton After Battling Cancer
WWE legend John Cena (47) has defeated Randy Orton, retaining the unified WWE Championship title. Cena's victory holds greater significance than merely defending his title. After undergoing skin cancer surgery, he returned to the ring to once again demonstrate to fans worldwide "who the true champion is," providing an emotional moment.
The "Unified WWE Championship" took place on October 10 (local time) at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
This match was the most anticipated in Cena's "retirement tour" as it marked his final confrontation with his 20-year rival, Randy Orton. The two wrestlers have been growing together since their days in OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) in 2001, making them a piece of history themselves.
From the beginning, the atmosphere was tense. Cena pushed Orton with his characteristic power, while Orton cleverly exploited Cena's vulnerabilities with counter-attacks. In the middle of the match, when Cena attempted his "Attitude Adjustment," Orton astonishingly countered with a mid-air RKO, sending both wrestlers crashing to the mat and eliciting cheers from the audience.

The referee went down twice due to collisions, and even the replacement referees fell victim to Orton's RKO. The ring was in chaos. Taking advantage of the confusion, R-Truth intervened to distract Orton, and Cena seized the moment. After a surprise low blow, he struck Orton's head with the title belt, ultimately securing the three count.
After the match, John Cena grabbed the microphone in the center of the ring. He had his theme music stopped and looked at the audience, stating emphatically, "This is the true champion's final appearance."
Cena's victory also highlighted the clear white scar on his right chest and shoulder, a result from surgery to remove cancerous spots from his skin. In a recent interview with 'People,' Cena confessed that it was "the price of a life exposed to the sun without protection."
Meanwhile, Cena previously broke Ric Flair's legendary record of 16 world championship titles by winning his 17th title at WrestleMania, defeating Cody Rhodes. On the other hand, Orton, who has 14 championship reigns, had to take a step back in this showdown.
