Ceiling finishing material collapses at Cheonan wedding hall, injuring 10 guests

A distressing incident occurred when a person attended a friend's wedding with joy but ended up facing an unfortunate event.

On the afternoon of the 10th at 1:43 PM, an accident happened at a wedding hall banquet in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, where the ceiling finishing material suddenly fell. The gypsum board ceiling collapsed onto guests who were dining.

According to the fire department, about 10 guests were injured when the finishing material struck their heads and waists. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported.

A netizen who was present at the scene communicated the severity of the situation through an online cafe.

This netizen described the experience, saying, "I almost died when the ceiling collapsed at a friend’s wedding. It fell down while we were eating. It was terrifying."

Particularly, their testimony that "a baby was trapped, and it was chaos" conveys the chaotic situation at the accident scene.
