Huh Kyung-young, Honorary Representative of the National Revolutionary Party, Arrest Warrant Requested for Fraud and Semi-Coercive Sexual Assault Charges
The police have requested an arrest warrant for Huh Kyung-young, the Honorary Representative of the National Revolutionary Party, on charges of sexual assault against his followers and fraud.
On the 12th, the Gyeonggi North Police Agency announced that they had applied for an arrest warrant against Huh for charges including fraud, violation of the Political Funds Act, and semi-coercive sexual assault.
The application for the arrest warrant stemmed from complaints filed by the followers of the Heavenly Palace. The followers alleged that Huh and officials of the Heavenly Palace sold spiritual food at an absurdly high price compared to its cost, among other reasons.
In addition, other female followers previously alleged that Huh had inappropriately touched them under the pretext of consultations last year.

Considering the seriousness of the matters, Gyeonggi North Police have been systematically investigating the fraud and other economic-related charges through the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Investigation Unit, while the sexual assault allegations have been investigated by the Women's and Youth Crimes Investigation Unit.
The police, who have been conducting the investigation, executed a search warrant at the Heavenly Palace located in Jangheung-myeon, Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, on September 5 of last year, and have summoned Huh several times for questioning.
Currently, it is reported that the arrest warrant for Huh is under review for filing by the prosecution. If the prosecution requests the warrant, a substantive review by the court will follow to determine whether to grant the arrest.
