20s Man Confesses to Killing His 40s Girlfriend

A man in his 20s, who was in a romantic relationship with a woman in her 40s, has confessed to murdering her in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, and is under investigation by the police.

The Yuseong Police Station in Daejeon announced on the 11th that they have arrested Mr. A on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend.

Mr. A called 112 at 5:43 PM on the same day and reported his crime, saying, "I killed someone." Upon receiving the report, the police dispatched to Mr. A's home in Gwanpyeong-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, discovered the body of Ms. B, who was already deceased.

"I killed someone."

At the time of discovery, it was reported that Ms. B's body showed signs of decomposition, indicating that a considerable amount of time had passed since her death.

Suspect Attempted Suicide After Confession

In particular, shortly after confessing to the police, Mr. A attempted to take his own life but was fortunately not in critical condition.

The police believe that Mr. A murdered Ms. B and are closely investigating the precise motive, circumstances, and timing of the murder.
