“Opposition Party” Surpasses 2 Million Viewers… Highest Score for a Restricted Film

The movie "Opposition" (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk) is continuing its box office race, surpassing 2 million viewers. According to the integrated ticket sales network of the Korean Film Council, "Opposition" exceeded 2 million cumulative viewers as of 12 AM on the 2nd, achieving this milestone on its 17th day of release.

It has set the record for the highest box office among R-rated films released after COVID-19, surpassing "Deadpool and Wolverine" (directed by Shawn Levy) which had 197,000 viewers.

The film has also reclaimed the number one spot at the domestic box office, attracting 146,885 viewers on the first day of the holiday on the 1st, overtaking "Holy Night: Demon Hunters" (directed by Lim Dae-hee).

"Opposition" is a crime action genre film that weaves together the stories of a drug broker, an ambitious prosecutor, and a sincere detective in the fight against crime, each with their own motives.

It has received praise as the "Inside Men of the drug world." "Opposition" currently boasts a real viewer rating of 97% on the CGV Golden Egg index (as of the 2nd), indicating positive box office prospects.

Meanwhile, the "Opposition" team will meet audiences directly through stage greetings during the holiday period.
