Han Dong-hoon Calls for Immediate Resignation of Lee Jae-myung Following Supreme Court Ruling
Han Dong-hoon, a preliminary presidential candidate from the People Power Party, welcomed the Supreme Court's ruling to overturn the previous acquittal of Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, and strongly urged him to resign from his candidacy.
On the 1st, Han stated on his social media, "Today, the Supreme Court corrected the appellate ruling that granted Lee Jae-myung a 'license to lie' with a unanimous decision," and demanded, "The 'license to lie' of Lee Jae-myung has been revoked, and it is practically equivalent to being stripped of his qualification as a politician."
Immediate Resignation
Earlier today (1st), the Supreme Court overturned the appellate court's verdict that had acquitted Lee of violating the Public Official Election Act, stating it was guilty in nature.

Han criticized Lee for insisting on continuing his presidential campaign, citing that he still has the remanding procedure to undergo.
He pointed out, "To use the excuse that there is still a remanding procedure in the high court while insisting on running for president is truly a cunning notion."
He also emphasized the public's judgment, stating, "If an unqualified player insists on remaining at the starting line by force, the audience would not tolerate it."

Han asserted, "A dangerous individual like Lee Jae-myung will not resign voluntarily," adding, "We must win to remove the unqualified player from the field and return the lies to where they belong."
He concluded, "Let us break free from the mindset of defeatism and come together. The ousting of Lee Jae-myung must be completed through victory. I will be at the forefront."
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court's ruling is expected to significantly impact Lee Jae-myung's presidential campaign.
Through its unanimous decision, the Supreme Court overturned the appellate court's not guilty verdict regarding Lee's violation of the Public Official Election Act. Consequently, the case will return to the high court for retrial.
