A woman's story suffering from her deceased husband's infidelity and financial issues
A woman was shocked to learn about her deceased husband's infidelity only after his passing.
She discovered that her husband had embezzled tens of millions of won from her father’s hospital fees and had been engaging in extramarital affairs with married women for the past ten years.

This incident was revealed on JTBC's 'Incident Manager' and has sparked public outrage.
Ms. A stated that while it was her first marriage, her husband had a history of divorce.
Although they had no children, her husband requested not to register their marriage, citing his "deep wounds from his divorce," and so they lived together in a de facto marriage for 17 years.
Recently, Ms. A had been carefully keeping a 30 million won check card that her father, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, had given her for his hospital expenses. However, the check card found in her husband’s wallet had a balance of 0 won, revealing that he had spent all of her father’s hospital fees.

Her husband did not disclose where he spent the money, and financial issues continued even after his sudden death.
At the funeral home, she received a call from an unknown number stating, "Your husband borrowed 1 million won from me, so pay it back." The caller turned out to be the owner of the hair salon where her husband used to go.
Feeling suspicious, Ms. A found evidence of her husband’s infidelity on his mobile phone. There were several women he had been dating, including a woman he had known for ten years, and all the women he was in contact with were married.
Ms. A stated, "He spent my father’s hospital fees of 30 million won while going out with other women."

It was also said that the pension and vehicle registered in her husband's name were taken by her sister-in-law. Ms. A confronted her sister-in-law, stating it was unfair, but her sister-in-law loudly argued, "If you didn’t register your marriage, you’re not family."
Additionally, when Ms. A asked for at least 5 million won to buy a used car, her sister-in-law only gave her 500,000 won, saying, "You have such a strong personality that it seems your husband died early."
Lawyer Park Ji-hoon explained that "a de facto marriage cannot receive inheritance," but added that public pensions, such as rental deposits or national pensions, can be claimed if the de facto marriage is proven.
Lawyer Yang Ji-yeol advised, "If there are clear evidences on your husband’s mobile phone regarding the other parties, you could file a lawsuit for illegal acts."
