Actor Kim Sae-ron's family legal representative files report to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission
The legal representative of the family of the late Kim Sae-ron, attorney Bujiseok, has reported to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
On the 29th, it was reported that a complainant, identified as A, filed a public interest report against attorney Bujiseok of the law firm Buyu, representing Kim Sae-ron's family.
This is related to a case in which Kim Soo-hyun’s agency reported the family of the late Kim Sae-ron, along with a YouTuber and a person identified as B, who claims to be the late actress’s aunt, for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Certain Crimes of Sexual Violence.
A claimed that attorney Bujiseok is significantly involved, alleging that he provided misguided legal advice that led to the unlawful public disclosure of images or that he acted as an accomplice in this respect. He also stated that "attorney Bujiseok actively spread the family’s claims beyond mere legal advice and used his position as a lawyer to present false information as if it were true," indicating a high potential for liability.
According to A, attorney Bujiseok made allegations of 'grooming sexual crimes' at press conferences, causing significant damage to Kim Soo-hyun. As a result, Kim Soo-hyun is reportedly facing risks of claims for damages and harmful impacts on his upcoming projects.
Recently, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron has claimed that she was in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun during her minor years, sparking controversy over 'minor grooming.'
As evidence supporting this claim, they released messenger conversations exchanged between the two. Attorney Bujiseok stated at a press conference last month that "Kim Sae-ron was 17 years old at the time."
In response, Kim Soo-hyun's side refuted this, declaring that he was in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron after she became an adult.
They also filed a lawsuit for defamation and have issued a claim for damages amounting to 12 billion won.
More than a month has passed since the initial revelation, but the situation remains unresolved. Kim Soo-hyun's upcoming project on Disney+, titled 'Knock Off,' has been put on hold, and the past romantic history of the late Kim Sae-ron continues to be scrutinized, resulting in ongoing secondary damage.
