On the 29th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency held a personal information disclosure deliberation committee and published the face, name, and age of Kim Sung-jin, born in 1992, who is facing murder charges, on the Seoul Police's official website. The personal information will be displayed on the website for 30 days starting from today.

Kim is accused of tearing open the packaging of a knife displayed at the mart near Mia Station around 6:20 PM on the 22nd and swinging it at people, resulting in the death of a woman in her 60s and injuring a female employee in her 40s.

It has been revealed that both victims had no prior acquaintance with Kim, and immediately after the attack, Kim calmly smoked a cigarette and reported himself to the police.

On the 24th, during a pre-arrest interrogation (substantial warrant review), Kim expressed remorse, saying, "I am sorry to the victims," but insisted that it was not a planned crime.

The police are currently conducting a psychopathy assessment on Kim and plan to send the case to prosecutors within this week, taking into account his history of mental illness.
