Fire at Office-Tel in Gangnam, Seoul Leaves Woman in Cardiac Arrest

A fire broke out at an office-tel in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, resulting in a woman in her 60s being transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.

The fire department is currently investigating the incident, considering the possibility of arson.

According to the Gangnam Fire Station on the 29th, the fire occurred around 8:30 AM at the office-tel located in Yeoksam-dong.

Upon receiving the report, the fire department immediately dispatched crews to the scene and extinguished the fire completely approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes after the initial report.

A woman, referred to as A, was found in a state of cardiac arrest at the scene and was urgently transported to Gangnam Severance Hospital. The other five residents in the office-tel were able to evacuate on their own, and no additional injuries were reported.

The fire department and police are currently investigating the incident, believing that A may have committed arson, and are looking into the exact cause and circumstances of the fire.
