Lee Jae-myung is considering plans to move into the Blue House within three days if elected.

Lee Jae-myung, if elected, will go to the 'Blue House' three days later

As discussions are actively taking place regarding the relocation of the next presidential office ahead of the 'June 3 early presidential election,' Lee Jae-myung, the candidate for the Democratic Party's presidential primary, is reportedly considering moving into the Blue House within three days of his election.

On the 24th, SBS Biz reported that Lee is reviewing the plan to move into the Blue House within three days of his election.

According to the report, the current Blue House office maintains its furniture and internal structure as is, so even a move immediately after his election would not disrupt work.

Earlier, during the MBC 'Special 100-Minute Debate' on the 18th, Lee stated that "If I come to power, it would be better to use the Yongsan presidential office for a while and quickly refurbish the Blue House before moving in."

At that time, Lee explained, "It doesn't seem appropriate to go somewhere else right now, and we can't prepare it in advance using taxpayers' money either," adding, "The office in Sejong is not prepared yet."

The reason for allowing a time gap of about three days after the election seems to be for security checks, some refurbishment of internal facilities, and reinstallation of communication infrastructure.

A member of Lee's campaign team stated, "There may be confusion during the primary process," and mentioned, "The timing for the announcement might be possible around the end of the primary after the election."

Meanwhile, among the next presidential candidates, Ahn Cheol-soo and Hong Joon-pyo have expressed their intent to return to the Blue House, Kim Dong-yeon plans an immediate relocation to Sejong City, Kim Kyung-soo advocates for a dual office system, and Han Dong-hoon maintains the stance of keeping the office in Yongsan.
