40s Man Wandering the Streets in Underwear Arrested on Drug Charges

A man in his 40s, wanted on drug charges, was arrested by the police while wandering the streets in only his underwear in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.

The Namyangju Southern Police Station announced on the 24th that they have arrested an individual, referred to as A, who is under investigation for violating drug-related laws.

A was found wandering around in his underwear on a street in Wabu-eup, Namyangju, at around 5:20 PM on the 22nd. He was apprehended after being reported by local residents and taken in for identification checks.

At the time of his arrest, A was under the influence of methamphetamine, and three syringes for methamphetamine use were discovered at his residence.

The police have applied for an arrest warrant for A and are investigating how he obtained the drugs.

Notably, A had also been reported last year for using drugs in a similar manner while wandering the streets in his underwear, and an arrest warrant had already been issued for him.
