The low birthrate issue has become a top priority for the political sphere.
On the 24th, Kwon Seong-dong, the floor leader of the People Power Party, attended a seminar titled 'Solutions for Low Birthrate Proposed by Young People in 2030' held at the National Assembly member's office building, expressing a strong commitment to resolving the low birthrate issue.
Kwon emphasized, "If someone comes up with a solution for the low birthrate and runs for president, I would vote for them even if they are from the opposition party," highlighting the need for all political parties to fully commit to addressing this issue.

He stated, "As a member of the older generation, I have always thought, will there truly be a future for the Republic of Korea if we do not resolve the low birthrate issue?" emphasizing the seriousness of the problem and the necessity to address it.
He then requested good opinions and ideas from the younger generation on what the issues are and how marriage and childbirth can be increased.
Kwon promised that he would fully accept these suggestions and incorporate them into policies and systems.

The People Power Party announced their pledge the day before in a press conference, stating, "Lower the burden and increase happiness, a reliable Republic of Korea from marriage to childcare."
This pledge includes various measures to reduce the burdens of marriage, housing, and childbirth for newlyweds.
Examples include expanding public wedding venues, increasing income thresholds for the Didirindol and Butimok loans, and enhancing support for infertility and multiple births.
