
Actors Park Bogum, Byun Woo Seok, and Chu Young Woo are competing for the Popularity Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards. The Baeksang Arts Awards Secretariat announced on the 23rd that "the voting for the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards Prism Popularity Award will take place from 12 PM today until 4 PM on May 2."
Among the total of 70 nominees (35 males and 35 females), the individuals with the highest votes will be selected. Those nominated in the broadcasting and film categories are eligible for the Popularity Award voting.
Among the male nominees are Park Bogum (You’re So Precious to Me), Byun Woo Seok (A Superior Day), Chu Young Woo (Severe Trauma Center), Lee Joon Hyuk (Good or Bad Dong-Jae), and broadcaster Dex.
The female nominees include Song Hye Kyo (The Black Nun), Kim Go Eun (The Law Cafe), IU (You’re So Precious to Me), Kim Hye Yoon (A Superior Day), and Kim Tae Ri (Twenty-Five Twenty-One).
The Popularity Award voting will be conducted on the global retail media platform Prism app. Each account can cast 4 free votes per day. Voting rights will be renewed every midnight.
Last year's Popularity Award went to Kim Soo Hyun and IVE’s An Yu Jin, surpassing a total of 11 million votes, marking the highest number in recent 3 years.
Meanwhile, the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards will be held on the 5th of next month at 8 PM at the D Hall of COEX in Seoul. It will be broadcast live simultaneously on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
