“An Elderly Pope Will Die in 2025” Nostradamus Also Predicts Successor

Francis Pope's Death and the Reexamination of Nostradamus's Prophecies

With the news of the death of Francis Pope, who led 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide for 12 years since 2013, Nostradamus's prophecies are garnering renewed attention.

On the 21st (local time), foreign media including the Indian Economic Times and the British Daily Mail reported, "Nostradamus had already foretold the fate of the pope in his 'Book of Prophecies' published in 1555."

In his book of prophecies, Nostradamus wrote, "In 2025, the death of an aged pope will cause / a good-aged Roman to be elected / people will say that he weakens his own position / but he will be actively engaged in that role for a long time." He also hinted at details about the successor, stating, "A young man with dark skin will hand over a wallet to another with red skin, aided by a great king."

Nostradamus's prophecies have long sparked various interpretations and controversies. Consequently, it is widely argued that his predictions should not be taken literally.

However, the renewed interest is not only in the prophecy related to Francis Pope's death but also in past instances where several of his prophecies have come to fruition.

He also predicted a tremendous fire and floods that would devastate coastal metropolitan areas in 2025, reminiscent of the wildfires that occurred in the Los Angeles area earlier this year and in Gyeongnam province at the end of last month.

Furthermore, Nostradamus predicted that a long-standing war would come to an end in 2025, which is interpreted as being related to former U.S. President Donald Trump's initiation of peace negotiations for the Ukraine war.

He also wrote, "Due to prolonged warfare, the army will be depleted and money to pay soldiers will run out," which is believed to hint at the Russia-Ukraine war and the conflict between Israel and Palestinian Hamas.

The Vatican announced that the cause of Pope Francis's death was a stroke and heart failure. His funeral will be held modestly, according to the deceased's wishes.

The Vatican revealed through a will that Pope Francis wished to be buried in a simple grave without special decorations beneath the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.

The Vatican plans to keep the pope's body in the chapel of the Casa Santa Marta for several days, and as early as the 23rd, it will be moved to Saint Peter's Basilica to provide the public with an opportunity to pay their respects.
