Zzuyang, the Transformation into a Beauty YouTuber After Seven Years
Zzuyang, known for her Mukbang videos, has drawn attention by attempting a unique transformation into a beauty YouTuber.
On the 22nd, she released a video titled "After applying heavy makeup (?), I went to my parents' house for a surprise visit, and my mom's reaction was…" on her YouTube channel, 'Zzuyang's Garden.'
In the video, Zzuyang stated, "I wanted to try various things besides eating in my vlogs. (So) I prepared a makeup content."
She continued, "I will put on so much makeup that my parents might not recognize me. I’m planning to visit them and see if I can grab something to eat."
First-Time Cosmetic Product Placement After Seven Years on Air
Zzuyang confessed that this is the first time in her seven-year career that she received cosmetic product placement (PPL).
After showing her bare face, she shared tips on using mist and skincare with her viewers, then introduced the PPL products and an event before diving into a full makeup routine.
To achieve an image different from her usual look, Zzuyang applied double eyelid tape and began intense eye makeup. After placing false eyelashes and applying eyeliner, she completed a striking eye appearance, creating a distinct impression with bold eyebrow makeup.
With the addition of contact lenses and contouring, she transformed into someone entirely different. Zzuyang, having even added "nose puff" to her nose, showed signs of awkwardness at her transformed appearance.
Surprising Reactions from Her Parents
After her transformation, Zzuyang visited her parents' house.
Seeing her daughter's changed look, Zzuyang's mother exclaimed, "Who is that? Did she really do her makeup like that? Has she had surgery?" unable to conceal her astonishment. She added, "She has had her nose done, double eyelids, and everything," showing a reaction that seemed almost angry.
Her father also appeared flustered, asking, "What is this? Why have you changed so much?"
Viewers who saw the video reacted in various ways, saying, "The heavy makeup makes her look completely different," "Both natural Zzuyang and smoky Zzuyang are beautiful," "Did she do this all herself?" and "I thought she had invited a guest just by looking at the thumbnail."
Meanwhile, Zzuyang filed a lawsuit against Kim Se-yeol, the representative of the YouTube channel Garoseoro Research Institute, for charges including stalking. This was after he exposed personal issues like tax evasion through his channel and repeatedly pressured Zzuyang for explanations while posting her pictures and posts.
The Gangnam Police Station determined on February 12 that, due to Zzuyang submitting a complaint withdrawal, they would dismiss the charges for violation of the Information and Communication Network Act and intimidation, ruling no wrongdoing regarding the violations of the stalking punishment act due to insufficient evidence.
However, Zzuyang's side filed an objection immediately after the police's non-prosecution decision.
