
The movie 'Victory' (directed by Kim Hyung-joo) has surpassed 2 million viewers.
According to the integrated computer network for ticket sales from the Korean Film Council, 'Victory' recorded over 2 million cumulative viewers on the 21st. This marks the second Korean film released this year to reach 2 million.
During the weekend (from the 18th to the 20th), the box office ranking fell by one spot, coming in second place, edged out by 'Opposition' (directed by Hwang Byeong-guk). A total of 105,820 viewers watched 'Victory' over the three days.
The 'Victory' team expressed their gratitude to the audience. Alongside a photo of the balloons spelling out 2 million, they said, "'Victory' 2 million, thank you," and "Thank you, 'Legend Love'."
'Victory' tells the story of a legendary Go player in the Republic of Korea who, after losing to his disciple in a match, challenges himself to reach the top once again. Actors Lee Byung-hun and Yoo Ah-in star in the film.
Meanwhile, 'Opposition' attracted 608,149 viewers during the same period, securing the top spot.
