20s woman suspected her boyfriend of infidelity and was arrested for attempted murder

A woman in her 20s was urgently apprehended for brandishing a weapon after suspecting her boyfriend of cheating.

On the 19th, the Seoul Gwanak Police Station stated that they have arrested a woman, referred to as A, on suspicion of attempted murder after she allegedly tried to kill her boyfriend.

According to the police, A is accused of attempting to kill her boyfriend, a man in his 20s referred to as B, with a weapon at a villa in Gwanak-gu, Seoul around 6 AM that day.

B suffered serious injuries to his face and other parts of his body from the weapon wielded by A and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to SBS, B is reported to have a possibility of losing sight in one eye.

During police questioning, A stated that she committed the act due to suspicion of B's infidelity.

Violent incident caused by relationship conflicts, police investigation ongoing

The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the motives and circumstances surrounding A's actions.

In addition to A's statement about her suspicions of infidelity, the police are comprehensively assessing the nature of the conflicts between the two and the circumstances leading up to the incident.

Based on indications that A had prepared the weapon in advance, the police believe there is a high possibility of premeditated intent. They plan to apply for an arrest warrant after thoroughly investigating the exact motive and circumstances of the incident.
