Malwang Captivates Attention with Unique First Pitch for Hanwha Eagles

YouTuber Malwang drew attention with a distinctive first pitch at the Daejeon Hanwha Life Insurance Eagle's Park during the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League game between the Hanwha Eagles and the Kiwoom Heroes.

On the 12th, Malwang took the mound wearing the commemorative legacy uniform for the 40th anniversary of Hanwha's founding, along with dolphin pants printed with an eagle flapping its wings against a blue sky.

That day, Malwang expressed his hopes saying, "I hope the players can stay injury-free during the game," and added, "I will cheer hard for the Hanwha Eagles to have a winning streak."

He entered the field flapping his arms like an eagle soaring through the sky, capturing everyone's attention.

Before Malwang's pitch, commentator Yoon Seok-min lightened the mood, stating, "As someone who engages in various content, I believe Malwang will showcase something fun as well."

However, the ball, which Malwang wished to throw like an eagle, flew off in an unexpected direction.

In response, commentator Yoon remarked, "Malwang has considerable athletic ability. I know he trains a lot and usually delivers a good pitch. When he stands on the mound, though, he doesn’t show even half of his usual performance."

He continued, "I think he created various entertaining elements, more than focusing on skill," bringing Malwang's pitch event to a close.

Meanwhile, sports-oriented YouTuber Malwang, who is a former football player, has over 1.65 million subscribers. He also won a natural bodybuilding competition that he prepared for over seven months in 2022.
