Three Abandoned Turkish Angora Cats Found in Front of Jeonju Animal Hospital

On December 12, three abandoned kittens were found in a box at an animal hospital in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.

According to the Jeonju Dongbu Animal Hospital, three Turkish Angora kittens (one female and two males) were discovered in a box in front of the animal hospital.

The found kittens all weigh 0.7 kg and are currently being cared for at the Dongbu Animal Hospital.

The announcement period for these cats is until April 21. If their owner is not found during this period, ownership will be transferred to the local government, after which general citizens will be able to adopt them.

Meanwhile, abandoning animals is strictly prohibited under the Animal Protection Act, and violators may be fined up to 3 million won. In the past, fines did not leave a criminal record, but due to amendments to the Animal Protection Act in 2021, offenders can now receive fines that result in a criminal record.
