Additionally, he was ordered to complete 80 hours of community service. Mr. A was accused of sexually humiliating female superiors in front of his colleagues while serving at an army unit in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do last summer.

Mr. A made sexual remarks about Captain B and Staff Sergeant C, stating things like "she has a good body" and "it wouldn't be bad to have sex."

In addition to these comments, he repeated insults and humiliations by mimicking sexual acts on four occasions.

These actions were revealed to be motivated by resentment after Captain B instructed him to clean up some outside food.

Judge Woo Sang-beom, who presided over the trial, explained the reasons for the ruling, stating, "By sexually humiliating two female superiors, he seriously undermined military discipline, and there has been no reconciliation with the victims." However, it was considered in sentencing that the defendant was no longer in the military, thus reducing the risk of reoffending.

This incident serves as a reminder of the seriousness of sexual harassment issues within the military and raises concerns related to the establishment of military discipline.

Sexual humiliation or harassment that exploits hierarchical relationships within the military is an unacceptable act, and there are increasing calls for enhanced education and preventive measures to prevent such behaviors.
